As you might have guessed, this movie is somehow based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. But there is also: nicely shot action scenes, music which seems not to fit at first but does perfectly, a game-reality switch I enjoyed a lot, references to various movies and games.. and and and...

I find it hard to describe *resurrection of the little match girl*. Watch it. You'll either love or hate it.

Oh! How could I forget about the mackerel? It plays an important part in the movie.

Somewhere between unbearable corny (kitsch!) and unnecessary brutal. Maybe I was expecting more, but scenes like, let's say, burying your knife as a symbolic action for ending the war almost never work. They only make me laugh - and not in a good way.
