I wish I were still as excited about my birthday as I used to be when I was a kid.

Things I have spilled today:
- milk on the kitchen stove
- tea on my shirt (change clothes part1)
- coke on the white, freshly cleaned kitchen floor (very sticky)
- coke on my shirt (change clothes part2)
- hot water all over the place while doing the dishes

I don't like diet coke or anything diet or low-fat. Especially not milk.

ups and downs

I really don't have any good excuse for not writing more.
Except maybe, you know whenever you don't have much to do, you don't get anything done at all? That's me right now. Or that worm which decided to haunt my poor computer - that's an excuse; a good one, too. (thanks again, Gunnar! I hereby declare pizza to be the official payment for chasing worms.)

Things seem to fall apart or break around me lately. My car has been in the shop so many times. The water boiler (which is my only chance to get hot water) suddenly refuses to do its duty in the middle of me taking a shower. Fuses blow, power strings start hissing (and stop working) and the sap I got on my dress at the last bbq won't come off. And I should mention that I don't have many dresses (count one, that I actually wear).

Many good things have happened, too. But it's more fun writing about the things that broke down.
Oh, and I can't stop watching these Friends episodes a friend lent me. I still haven't decided if that's good or bad.

I spend way too much time with my computer. And I recently got bored with the desktop design. So I made my first desktop set. The wallpaper was more of a rough draft but I grew fond of it and kept it.

And yes, I know it's a little bit too cute, but for some reason, I really like it. Enjoy.

various things from last week

Looking through my archives I realized that eight entries a month seems to be my standard. This should increase, don't you think?

It is wonderful to have a client in a different timezone. I can sleep all morning and get to work at night. My all-time favourite schedule.

Do you know what's great about not being exactly sober when watching a new movie? The next time you see it will be like watching it again for the first time. You get twice the fun! Tada!

But how could I forget that Rimmer plays Lara Croft's butler Hilary?
(I will try not to mention anything Red Dwarf related for a while now. Promise.)

Often when I get back from the stable I have dusty feet.
(and I like to say *I have dusty feet* instead of *my feet are dusty* because it sounds so cute. I also know someone who thinks this sounds like I am a hobbit.)
