cuteness overdose

It's Valentine's Day - so, happy VD to all of you. I personally do not really care about that day. Partly, because it isn't that popular here but more importantly, I am starting to believe I am just not the romantic type (which I guess you have to be to fully appreciate today). The most I have ever done on a Valentine's Day was to go to the movies with a friend of mine. That was 13 years ago and we watched Wayne's World. How's that for being romantic?
Pictures of beautiful landscapes or cute puppies bore me to tears. Which doesn't mean that I don't have a picture of Zoe as a puppy here on my desk. I do. But why should I show that to people and force them to go *awww*? Unless, you really want to see it.
With the launch of flickr I feel that I will soon OD because of the amount of cute pictures I see there. Porn isn't the real threat here. I prefer to be openly disgusted by weird sexual preference over a fake 'that is sooo cute' any time.
There are some exceptions. I have two pictures in my shoebox that sort of belong to the cute category, with a little twist. 'Hasselhoff and puppies' is just too sarcastic to not enjoy it. And if you add a good title to it ('Who invited him?') I'm all yours.
I guess I am not the only one feeling that way (or at least I hope I am not). But what I really want to know is how does it feel to enjoy cuteness and romantic sunsets just for the cute and romantic aspect of it? And how do you manage to not start laughing?

Mina, this is off topic, but I just noticed for the first time yesterday your link to Oblivio. I have been to most of his readings at The Bowery Poetry Club. His performances are as good as his writing. Have you watched his oatmeal video? That's how he acts when he reads.

Also, you would like him in person, Olivio is very warm and friendly to the people who attend (in a not cute and unromantic way).
