no reason to kiss a frog
I started (re-)reading Grimm's fairytales a couple nights ago. I actually planned on reading them all aloud but figured it takes too much time. I cut that down to only reading a few aloud.
So far, I have learned that:
- fairytales are crueler than you think! Read the story of a youth who went forth to learn what fear was and you'll see.
- some stories are different from what I remembered them to be. What made me think one has to kiss a frog to get the prince?! Seriously, who told me that? Huh? All I have to do is throw him against the wall.
